Happy New Year! We wish you everything of the best for the year ahead and hope it will be one filled with love and kindness. We wanted to begin the year by sharing the incredible impact our Super Sam Hero Transport Initiative has made to date.
Since the inception of the project, we have transported 16,594 children and caregivers to their essential medical appointments, travelling a total of 454,350 kilometres. The transport we provide is truly life-changing, often offering hope where there previously was none. It ensures that children and their caregivers have access to safe and reliable transport, saves families both time and money, and most importantly, ensures that our precious little passengers are treated like the VIPs they truly are.
Looking ahead, we are incredibly excited to share that we will be launching our first-ever “Sam se Bussie” in Johannesburg in March this year! Thanks to generous donations, this “Jozi” vehicle will focus on transporting children living with life-limiting illnesses to their critical appointments at Rahima Moosa Mother & Child Hospital. This marks an important milestone for the initiative, and we cannot wait to share further details and impact as this project unfolds - watch this space!
We are also thrilled to let you know that we were recently featured on Carte Blanche, the popular investigative current affairs television programme on M-Net. The crew, and the Footprints 4 Sam team, spent two days travelling with our drivers to experience firsthand the vital work they do. The feature highlighted the compassion, commitment, and care our drivers bring to every journey, and the meaningful difference this service makes in the lives of vulnerable families.
Thank you for being part of this journey and for helping us start the year by celebrating meaningful impact and exciting growth ahead!
We look forward to sharing more news on this initiative over the next few months!
Warmest regards
Jo and the Footprints 4 Sam team
