In the year 2018 Whisper's Magical Children's Hospital transfused blood to 2,270 patients in total. These patients include children who are brought in as emergencies with severe anemia and adults from our maternity department.
Because of the good working relationship with Blood Bank Jinja which is the blood distribution centre in Jinja, we are able to obtain enough blood for our patients since its even near our Hospital. We have employees working with Blood Bank Jinja who assist them in the field as citizens from different communities donate blood to save the many people who need it.
This year in January we were able to transfuse blood to 219 patients so far. Most of these patients come from certain health centres looking for blood and they show up at the point of death severely anemic.
We thank all those supporting us and donating towards our project. Our employees who are working with the Blood Bank team are doing a great job of encouraging people to donate blood through outreach so that so many lives are saved.
