Dear Whisper Family,
Every day, we welcome children, mothers and families facing serious medical challenges. Some arrive with severe infections, complications of sickle cell disease, dangerous anaemia or other conditions that may require urgent medical intervention.
For patients who urgently need blood, a timely transfusion can mean the difference between life and death.
Imagine a mother watching her child grow weaker, knowing that treatment is urgently needed but worrying about how she will afford it.
Imagine a patient arriving at our hospital severely anaemic, exhausted and frightened, with a family desperately hoping for recovery.
These are the kinds of situations that remind us why our hospital exists.
At Whisper Hospital, our responsibility goes beyond providing medical treatment. We work to ensure that every patient is assessed promptly, treated with dignity and supported throughout their recovery.
During these two months, Whisper Hospital continued providing essential medical services to the communities of Jinja and Kyanja.
Our hospital records show:
1,278 patients attended during July and August combined.
174 hospital admissions were recorded.
54 sickle cell disease diagnoses were recorded.
Blood cannot be replaced by kindness alone, but kindness inspires us to do everything possible to make lifesaving treatment accessible.
To everyone supporting Whisper Hospital through GlobalGiving, thank you.
