As the rains continue to pund in the western side of kenya many families are being displaced every week and the situation is not getting better at all. These families lack basic needs to make them survive this hard conditions of flooding.
The river Sondu Miriu still continues to break up its banks hence causing the displacements, most of these stranded families now lve within the market centers in the nearby nyakwere market. Imagine a situation with all familiy mnamebrs sharing a one roomed house for moths ist very pathetic especialy to the children in these families having to endure living with their parents in the same room for all this period of time when they are unable to go back to their respective homes.
There is need to evacuate them in a place with dignity especially to the teenagers whom, are forced to sleep wqith parents in same room. There is much needed support to these families to enhance their dignified living as a family. They need to be living in a well organised place with basic amenities that is able to make them warmer.
