The year 2025 represented a period of consolidation for Fundación Guadalupe Acoge. During this time, we continued strengthening an intervention model aimed at restoring rights and creating more stable life trajectories for children who have experienced situations of vulnerability. Our approach is based on comprehensive support that not only considers residential care, but also sustained work with families, understanding that the protection and development of children requires strengthening family bonds and caregiving capacities within their immediate environment.
During this year, we finalized the systematization process of our intervention model. One of the most significant contributions of this process is the incorporation of clear metrics that allow us to measure the level of progress and achievement in each area of our model. Having these indicators enables us to objectively assess the impact of our interventions, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure quality standards in the support we provide to children and their families.
In the educational field, we continued strengthening a comprehensive educational proposal for the children living in our residences. Alongside academic support, we place special emphasis on habit formation, socio-emotional development, and the promotion of universal values such as respect, responsibility, and empathy. These pillars are essential for the personal development of children and for building life trajectories with greater autonomy and opportunities.
Another key focus of our work has been strengthening family support through the Guadalupe Acompaña program. This program seeks to sustain support processes for families before, during, and after residential care, promoting stable family bonds and preventing children from re-entering the protection system. Close work with families has proven to be a fundamental component in achieving more lasting rights restoration processes.
At the same time, the work carried out by the foundation has begun to generate interest and recognition in different spaces connected to the child protection system. Various experts and institutions have highlighted the comprehensive approach of our model and the sustained support provided to families, reinforcing our conviction to continue strengthening and projecting this work into the future.
In this context, and based on the experience accumulated over the years, we have made the institutional decision to move forward with the development of a second residential home. This new space seeks to expand our capacity to provide care and continue deepening a care model that places quality of attention, emotional bonding, and comprehensive support for each child at its center.
We want to thank everyone who has supported us and we will continue searching for funds to make our work possible .
