Neoumanist Association provides residential and medical care, home visits and day treatment to over 250 vulnerable elderly in the Straseni district of the Republic of Moldova. Our beneficiaries are typically impoverished and without family support and many are chronically ill and homebound. Funds raised will go to help meet their most basic needs and to fund programs at our center which include: hot meals, showers, laundry services and activities to support their emotional wellbeing.
While the Neoumanist Association has successfully raised funds to maintain our programs and provide aid for impoverished elders for the past twelve years, recently we lost one of our major funding sources and are working to secure new financing in order to keep our doors open. With the rising costs of utilities and supplies for the upcoming winter approaching, we are working to secure our programs and maintain our facilities in order to continue to support our beneficiaries.
Your contribution ensures our beneficiaries will continue to receive the programs and basic needs they've come to rely on. Your funds will directly help to secure a happier and safer environment for all the people who depend on us for their health and livelihood.
Being able to maintain and ensure the vitality of our programs and facilities enables us to focus on our mission of providing hot meals, recreational and therapeutic activities, showers and clothes washing machines, and a warm place to gather for the 250+ elderly persons who do not have these access to these amenities otherwise. This will also secure our ongoing program to provide a safe and healthy living environment for the 20 sick and vulnerable elderly living full-time at our facility.
