Challenge

Spreading the COVID-19 pandemic in our area has already affected by the poor people, distress women & PWD's increased their poverty. SODEP is adapting its response to the crisis. Economic activities & production have full shut-down. Distress women and PWD's have been getting worse situation and have been facing food insecurity and health services. The fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic is having profound impact on society and the economy, and it will also influence and shape organized local crime.

Solution

SODEP and other NGO's and Local Administration have been trying to solve the problems like: health services and necessary food assistance for needy people. But this initiatives are not sufficient. We have committed to provide food, health sanitizers and other basic needs to vulnerable families. We are also operating a helpline for those service seekers, it's an additional support which includes access to connectivity with health services providers government hospital and clinics.

Long-Term Impact

1000 poor and distress families in our project area will be mitigated their food and health problems. It will remove local crime and illicit market. Not only that this intervention will contribute to UN Sustainable Development goals (SDG's) goal-2: "Zero Hunger". 1000 vulnerable families are trying to safe from COVID-19 outbreak. All children of these families will enjoy their rights of food and nutrition.
