Patients facing cancer in The Bahamas navigate more than treatment. Many experience emotional distress, isolation, and financial strain without consistent support. Much of the help available is short-term, yet cancer requires ongoing care. We support women and men monthly, and the need continues to grow. Without sustained support, many are left to cope alone during one of the most vulnerable times in their lives
Patients facing cancer in The Bahamas navigate more than treatment. Many experience emotional distress, isolation, and financial strain without consistent support. Much of the help available is short-term, yet cancer requires ongoing care. We support women and men monthly, and the need continues to grow. Without sustained support, many are left to cope alone during one of the most vulnerable times in their lives.
This project provides ongoing support for women and men facing cancer through monthly meetings, emotional care, and financial assistance. Participants access a safe space for connection, education, and encouragement, along with support for urgent needs such as transportation, mastectomy bras, prosthetic breasts, and basic care. This ensures no one has to navigate their cancer journey alone.
This project will improve the emotional and financial well-being of women and men facing cancer by providing consistent, reliable support. Over time, participants will experience reduced isolation, increased resilience, and greater confidence in navigating treatment. Families will be strengthened, and more individuals will access the care they need, leading to healthier outcomes and a more supported community.
