Last week we had a meeting with some of the beekeepers.
We wanted to disussed with them about the 2025 campaign, the sunflower impact and the prospect for 2026.
They were all very happy with the 2025 harvest and they expect to have a good harvest for 2026.
Since the number of beehives has inceased in their villages, they all noticed an increase in the production of fruit trees due to a better pollination.
In 2021 we have help farmers to acquire grafted cashew nuts trees. Increase of flowers on the trees and increase of beehives help to have more fruits and more honey.
The sunflower cultivation has been well accepted. Some beekeepers were able to harvest honey in October. This honey mainly supported by the sunflowers. It is clearer and has a distinctive taste.
The beekeepers would like to get more hives.
Do you know people who can help funding some?
Thank you.
