Cervical cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer death among women in Ghana. Many women cannot afford diagnosis, surgery, or treatment, causing preventable deaths. This project provides financial and logistical support to help women access timely and effective cervical cancer care.
Most women with cervical cancer in Ghana face financial barriers that prevent them from accessing treatment. Without surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and medications, the disease progresses rapidly. Many women also struggle with transportation costs and lack of awareness about early care.
This project removes financial and access barriers by covering treatment, medication, and transportation costs for women with cervical cancer. By supporting timely care and follow-up, it helps women start and complete treatment early, improving survival and reducing preventable deaths.
This project will lead to higher survival rates by ensuring women with cervical cancer receive timely and complete treatment. In the long term, it will reduce preventable deaths, lessen the financial burden on families, and strengthen awareness and trust in cancer care services across communities in Ghana.
