Help fight Arthritis

By Aazer Durrani | Head of Marketing

Rheumatoid arthritis is a condition marked by pain and swelling in the joints, particularly the joints of the hands, wrists, and feet. It often appears gradually, starting in the fingers and toes, though it’s not known exactly what causes it to develop.

For men, the deadliness of rheumatoid arthritis in Pakistan peaks at age 70-74. It kills men at the lowest rate at age 30-34.

Women are killed at the highest rate from rheumatoid arthritis in Pakistan at age 75-79. It was least deadly to women at age 35-39. At 5.8 deaths per 100,000 women in 2013, the peak mortality rate for women was higher than that of men, which was 4.5 per 100,000 men.

The above numbers are alarming and with so many people suffering from this painful disease, we are striving to provide them with proper treatment.

Arthritis Care Foundation (ACF) in collaboration with Fatima Memorial Hospital continues to serve many patients who cannot afford the treatment expenses.

A large number of patients come to Fatima Memorial Hospital with a hope that they will be able to walk again. With your generous support in this cause is requested so that we can ensure they receive timely and proper treatment.

We once again strongly urge your support towards this cause and help us reduce this painful disease.

Thank you!
