Fight against Disability!

By Aazer Durrani | Head of Marketing

The cases of osteoarthritis and various other forms of joint pains have gone up during Covid-19 times because of a lack of physical activity.

With such a significant number of people affected by arthritis, it is imperative that preventative measures are taken and awareness campaigns are launched to create awareness among the masses.

Awareness campaigns, educational drives, latest therapies, and early preventive measures remain keys to stem the rising numbers of Arthritis patients. The cases of osteoarthritis and various other forms of joint pains have gone up during Covid-19 times due to lack of physical activity.

An increasing number of young population, more women than men, are being stricken with this joint-related disease in the country. Patients suffering from joint pain, including arthritis and its rheumatic conditions, need to have access to the latest advancements in medicine, weight control, regular exercise, and healthy food to overcome the disease.

Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic inflammatory condition. Rheumatoid arthritis symptoms develop gradually and may include joint pain, stiffness, and swelling. The condition can affect many tissues throughout the body, but the joints are usually most severely affected. The cause of rheumatoid arthritis is unknown.

Currently, due to COVID19, a lot of patients were being not treated in order to avoid contact with Corona Virus. Now that the COVID cases have dropped significantly, a large number of patients have turned towards the hospitals. As a result of which the number of patients who require free treatment has risen and the resources at Fatima Memorial Hospital are scarce.

We are heavily dependent on our donors’ support which at this point in time is needed the most. The facility needs expansion, we need more state-of-the-art equipment for the treatment as well.

These are challenging times, and Fatima Memorial Hospital required more and more support from our valued donors. These arthritis patients desperately require medical assistance and timely treatment.

Our dedicated clinic for these patients headed by a highly sought-after team of Rheumatologists is fully committed and works round the clock to provide treatment. The majority of the patient visiting Fatima Memorial Hospital are underprivileged and cannot afford healthcare facilities. Through your donations, we are able to provide them with treatment as well as medicines.

Keep supporting Fatima Memorial Hospital so that this significant number of patients are provided with state-of-the-art treatment without any delays.

Thank you!
