Hello and greetings from Pattaya!
Time for another update from us. Thank you very much for your kind support for the children of our women. It is so nice to see the kids growing up being with their mothers. Just this last weekend one of our new women has brought her young daughter to stay with her. She was very sad that she was separated from her daughter while she worked in the bar as children were not allowed there and she had to pay relatives a lot of money to take care of her child. Now that she left the bar she is very happy to be re-united with her daughter and her daughter is happy as well. Her daughter is now staying in our Nursery while her mother works, and, in the evening, they are doing things together.
Another story is from a woman that is already a couple of years with us. In August during the Thai Mother’s Day (Mother Day in Thailand is the Birthday of the Queen), she got the Mother of the Year Award from her school, which is a big thing here. You cannot believe how proud she was to receive this award. Her young daughter was then also selected to be the conductor for the yearly school parade. Hope you can see on the picture how happy she was. It is amazing to see the change that our women are going through and how they start to look after their children and really care for them.
During our last family gathering, our monthly meeting where we eat together and celebrate birthdays, we had several fun games for the children and to be honest, the children were much better than the adults and won most of the games. It was a great evening of fun together.
At the end of September, the school holiday is starting in Thailand and for the first time we will be sending five of our Tamar children to a holiday camp. We will report in the next update on how that went. The kids will be gone for 3 nights and we hope that they will enjoy their time away with about 150 other kids.
Okay, so much for today. Have a great day and thank you for your continued support!
