Helping Children from Ex-Sex workers in Thailand

Hello! 

Greetings from Pattaya in Thailand. First of all, I would love to say a big thank you to you all for supporting the Tamar Children Sponsorship program. We launched it on the 01st of January. But let me back up a bit.

In December, we called all our women together and explained to them the new Sponsorship program. They got really excited about it, as it takes a lot of pressure of their shoulders. They were also very happy that we would support their children that are with their families and not with them alone.

We spent a lot of time collecting all the information about the children and especially for the once that are not in Pattaya, we made sure that they are really their children and that the money will help them. Than in the first week of January we paid the women the money out for the first time and started saving money towards their school costs. The school fees are due in April/May and October and so we will be able to cover the complete school fees for the government school for all the kids. 

Right now, we have 16 children in the program and will add more, when other women move into our Center. We currently have two pregnant women with us, and so we have a guarantee that the number will increase. :)
