Greetings from Pattaya!
Here the school term has just ended and all our kids are enjoying holidays. One fun fact about Thailand is, that each school has different school holidays. They all start and end at different days and that makes it a lot of fun for us to arrange and coordinate how to look after all our children. One school started two weeks before the others and the last school only started this Monday officially but last week Wednesday decided that they close from Thursday onwards... That keeps us at least busy with arranging child care. :)
This year during the school holidays we have asked all the mothers to help out for two days in our Nursery. That works very well and so we have the Nursery well covered. During school holidays we have kids from 3-month-old to Teenagers to look after and one person cannot really handle it. So far, the mothers really enjoy to spent some time with the kids and some of them are getting very creative in organizing games and things to do.
We also had a Family Night in the last week of September. You see the pictures in this email. We had a lot of fun, played a number of games, had good food (they decided on making Chicken Feet as you can see!) and celebrated the birthdays of the last month together.
Thanks to your support, we have started to pay out the money for the new school uniforms to some of our mothers and we will also pay all the school fees for the next term. The term will start in the first week of November.
Some of the mothers are also taking some days off to visit with their children that are not in Pattaya but that are staying with relatives in Issan. So, there is a lot of travelling happening in the next weeks.
Thank you again for your support and your help with the children from our women.
