Hello! We want to tell you that, thanks to your valuable support, we were able to successfully develop and complete a reading project for our children. Angie, a student of Educational Psychology at the San Buenaventura University in Bogotá, was the person in charge of leading the project.

Several reading and storymaking workshops were designed, and were accompanied by other fun activities such as painting, tangram and clay.

With the proposal, we managed to link to the project not only the children of CRAN, but also the caregivers and the collaborators to promote the habit of reading. "Reading requires active participation and a dynamic attitude and, therefore, is the best way to learn to express our ideas, thoughts and arguments," Angie explains.

The main results we obtained were:

  • Concentration and attention
  • Teamwork
  • Communicative and narrative skills
  • Inventive and imagination
  • Creativity

In the end, the children expressed their opinion about the workshops:

"The workshops served me because before I did not like to read, but now I like it a lot."

"I like to read, at school, I go to the library and read a story, I did not do it before".

"It was very beautiful what I lived with my friends."

"The workshops were fun."

"I learned that one has to appreciate others."

"We were able to work in groups, be calm and share."

"We like to hear the stories that the caregivers read to us."

Thank you very much for building with your contributions nutritious environments where our children can learn, dream and imagine, until they regain their right to have a family that loves them and cares for life!

¡Hola!
