Brianna's Story

By Stephanie Bowers | Project Leader

Brianna is a loving Mom of four, and recently received a kit of cloth diapers thanks to you. She wanted to share a little fo her story, and how much the diapers have helped. This is what she wrote:

"My life is never the same. My husband is in the military which roughly translates into never knowing when he walks out the door after breakfast if the kids and I will see him for supper or the next morning. We just expect the unexpected. Recently my husband has gone through back surgery. It looked hopeful at first but this is now the beginning to a huge change in our lives.

My greatest joy in life is being a mommy. I love watching them grow not only physically but mentally. Toddlers look at the world so differently and really teach us to relax, have fun, sing when you are happy and cry if things are difficult! They know what they want and they go for it! I have been blessed with 4 wonderful kiddos. Its a busy life with my oldest being 5 and our newest addition at just a month old. There is always noise in my house. This last pregancy was rough to say the least and was finished with an emergancy c-section because my placenta burst. My baby girl is a fighter and so tough! She is doing great now! Cloth diapers help in so many ways. From the simplist being I do not have to make an emergency trip to the store to purchase expensive diapers. All of my children have had sensitive skin and cannot use anything that has chemicals in it without getting a rash. Or hives Cloth diapers are nice to have because they are gentle on baby bottoms, easy to care for, and keeps waste down. I am happy to start the cloth diaper journey with my tough little girl because I know it is the best option for her."

Thanks for helping Brianna & her family. I encourage you to reach me at stephanie@jakesdiapers.org with any questions you have. I'd love to hear from you!
