The Project will empower 100 Girls and young women encountered with forced marriage and early pregnancy with training the entrepreneurship skills, food catering and beverage processing to enable them iniatiate income generating activities for supporting their households and their children in Shinyanga Tanzania. The project is expected to be a tutorial intergrated bakery food point where by women encountered with forced marriage and early pregnancy will be equipped with training.
While child marriage is common in Tanzania prevalence is highest 59% in Shinyanga region (UNICEF 2012). The problem of early pregnancy and forced marriage has been rampant in Shinyanga region and it is continued practiced amongst pastoralist communities in Shinyanga.It is extremely evident that apart from causing lifetime Psychological wounding.InShinyanga region it has shown that most of women encountered with forced marriage are living in extreme poverty that they cannot afford the basic needs
The project will solve the problem because will contribute toward employment opportunities mainly to young women who will employed as service provider under cowoce bread/ snack factory.The project also will enhance dignity to young women who have been discriminated because the poor social economic status as the project will contribute toward enabling these young women to have entrepreneurship skills and knowledge which will finally enable them to iniatiate IGA for their economic sustainability
The project will train 100 young women allwing them to rise out of poverty which will provide sustanable development in the community.The training in entrepreneurship, literacy and food catering will be done unde the cowoce for six months duration, then after graduatees the cowoce will pay them the seed money for supporting entrepreneurs this will be contributed by party of the revenues from catering services offered during training session.
