Summary

For 36 years, our organization has focused on establishing health justice for migrant and mobile populations by providing support services to the frontline clinicians who work with them. In 2020, the global pandemic has presented unparalleled challenges to the frontline clinicians confronting COVID-19 within these populations and beyond. Their efforts have made our work possible, and that is why we have decided to focus our GivingTuesday campaign on celebrating all of our #HeroesOnTheFrontline.

Challenge

In the greatest public health crisis in this century, frontline clinicians and other essential workers have been disproportionately put at risk in the global fight against COVID-19. Shortages of personal protective equipment, campaigns of misinformation, and a disorganized response from leadership has left many crucial providers scrambling without recognition or support of their efforts at the frontline. As the challenges for providers increase, we choose to recognize #HeroesOnTheFrontline.

Solution

At MCN, our work is crucial, systemic, and change-making. We provide direct services and support to frontline clinicians involved with combating COVID-19, and the populations they serve. As a result, we have been positioned to be proactive in conversations about the public health, serving as a trusted partner for patients, health centers, providers, policymakers, and constituents alike. Supporting #HeroesOnTheFrontline allows us to expand and sustain our global efforts for health justice.

Long-Term Impact

Our #HeroesOnTheFrontline is a campaign to support the work of health champions who have engineered a considerable positive impact, despite the challenges of COVID-19. By donating to #HeroesOnTheFrontline, you are assuring the sustainability of our programs, including Health Network, Medical Review for Immigrants, and expansive training and support for the heroes who continue to show up and do the needed work towards establishing health justice for the most vulnerable populations.
