Every December, KKOOM brings holiday joy to children living in Korea's social welfare system through annual Christmas parties. Each child receives a personalized gift, warm meal, and day of games and performances that spread hope and love during the holiday season.
For over 70 years, more than one million children in South Korea have grown up in children's homes, often due to limited family or government support. Many face stigma, isolation, and unequal access to opportunities enjoyed by their peers. Without community support, holidays like Christmas can pass without joy or belonging. This project ensures over 300 children at three children's homes in Gyeongsangbuk-do Province receive gifts and holiday activities.
KKOOM hosts annual Christmas parties at three children's homes across Korea, providing personalized gifts, meals, and holiday activities for over 200 children. These celebrations create joyful memories, build confidence, and remind the children that they are loved and valued. Through holiday traditions and connection, we help bridge emotional and social gaps that children in the welfare system often face.
By providing Christmas celebrations, KKOOM helps children in Korea's social welfare system experience joy, belonging, and community. This consistent act of care fosters emotional security and positive self-worth, encouraging children to dream beyond their current circumstances. Over time, these shared traditions strengthen resilience, build confidence, and create lasting memories that empower children into adulthood.
