2023 Summary
The year 2023 threw a wrench in our Organization as funding has decreased considerably. This has meant that our Programs have had to be reduced and so has human Capital. For example, we used to support the Primary Schools in our area with food support but now we have had to withdraw all Primary School support and also decrease High School Support.
Number of students sponsored
Although we haven’t fully recovered from Covid19, the number of students sponsored this dropped as compared to the previous years. This year Moya sponsored 116 students from the different partner schools (57 Males and 59 Females) of which 26 were new from the lists. We do not sponsor any kids from Primary but we do provide those who are very needy with school uniform and counselling if needed (the number depends on the lists we receive from the schools). As an organization we work closely with the career guidance teachers from each school to identify the needy students.
Supplies distributed this year
The supplies distribution vary from year to year depending on the needs of our sponsored kids. This year we distributed stationary (school bag, covers, calculators, excise books, pens and pencils) uniforms, food and clothes to some of our sponsored students from the different partner schools.
