DIGNITARY PACKS PROJECT
Moya is a CBO that strives to support communities. The dignitary packs project focuses on the needy children from they are experiencing difficulties in catering for these. Both young girls and boys from our partner schools and our community clubs benefit from this project, to make sure that they get assistance with hygiene packs through the schools and clubs from this program.
Dignitary Packs distribution
We have started the dignitary packs distribution for 2023, and out of 359 we have distributed 310 hygiene packs to our preteen community clubs, sponsored learners and afternoon club. The lack of toiletries is an instrument for absenteeism, drop-outs and bullying within our partner schools. Through Moya Peer Supporters, guidance teachers, and community caregivers, we were able to identify those extremely in need of Dignity Packs. Our Hygiene packs include toothpaste, soap, Vaseline, roll-on and sanitary pads for girls.
Who’s next?
Our Case Management Department will be identifying children who need hygiene packs from our afternoon club. From there they will be another distribution to the identified afternoon members.
