This project is committed to providing a sustainable food source for disadvantaged children that is highly nutritious. We are asking for support to have children grow their own food and have more food in storage and a consistent supply of it! It will help teach the children how to prepare agriculture. It will give them a chance to grow healthy hearty crops. Vegetables: Beans, tomatoes, leafy greens. Staples: Maize (often used for flour). Fruit Trees: Avocado which can provide food and income
This project is currently relying on food donations from the community to prepare meals for all its children. Due to the lack of stable funds, donations received monthly from Global Giving, meal preparations become more vulnerable to availability and less about variety and nutrition.
We started our farm producing sweet potatoes, maize, cassava, and Bananas. This is to help the children and society in Aparis village, Kumi Uganda. They need, funds, materials to build crop, poultry,, dairy farms, they need food. They have new farming projects in mind and are in immediate need of land, fertilizer, seed and materials. If you can help out in anyway by donating or simply sharing this event, it would be extremely appreciated.
Strategies for Sustainable Orphan Nutrition: Agricultural Training: Teaching children to cultivate their own food (e.g., in Uganda) provides practical life skills, reduces dependency, and builds food security. Sustainable Farming Practices: Implementing drought-resistant seeds and creating, managing small-scale gardens o These children are incredibly smart, talented grateful souls. They don't want or need much so a quick share will do. Getting the word out will make this journey more successful.
