Greetings to all our sponsors!
This report is to bring to you all the best your good hearts are doing to help very rural and now run away kids to the streets some opportunities and good effort you hand of giving has done to some of the children your support has .
One such child rescued from the streets and back home to live with his new foster family is John 7 year old.. He went to live in the streets and eat from the dustbins and slept in the cardboard made shelter until a time one of our scouts landed on him and he gave our scouts the reason why he ended up in the streets, he lost his parent and was leaving with very harsh relatives who gave him lots of hard life.
After his rescue, we handed him to a local leadership where he is undergoing mentorship and counseling support, and reconstruction and training to adapt to normal family life, in the pictures you se John has been trained by his caretaker to milk cows and sell the mild to get money for his personal needs, he is happy and he takes the cow to and it's calves to grace after.
He goes to a local school but his accommodation is still poor, see the picture of the house where he sleeps, we had a community meeting inside it and we agreed in the meeting to help construction assistance to get home and other children like him to have a better home to if they are rescued from the streets.
COVID-19 made the situation worse, many of such children from broken and orphaned families went to beg and sleep in the streets, in the cold and in rain, no proper clothing, or blanket. These children need urgent help to be constructed a home and education support. Our NGO is limited with funding to address this ever growing number of such children. Since the first of January 2022 today's, we have only been able to get 9 dollars to support such children in a period of five months?
Another very painful story of the disabled girl called Grace, 15 year old, she had an expanded head, she feels lot of pain, orphaned and has stayed in the streets for a period of over five years begging and moving on her knees, crawling is sad, begging for what to eat and when she goes into her menstrual time she says it very challenging and then men in drugs are her very trying moment, it's very hard for her because she gets rapped, she has no way to run away, if she had a wheel chair it would make it better and safer for her to get out of trouble so quick. We need to help and rescue such girls on the street and improve their conditions of living, it's very traumatic experience with the disabled girl orphaned children. Her picture in the stree and her seated on her sleeping bed, mat made of papyrus materials.
Jesus Christ taught us how to love the poor in our society, have a heart like his (Heart of Jesus) and love your neighbor, these children break your heart when you meet and get to hear their stories, these are real and no one can dicieve you that children are nolonger in the streets, this problem is on the rise every day.
W appreciate you all for accepting to care for needy children and care to see them get where to stay as a home.
God bless you for your patience! Amen.
