Homelessness & Ebola Crisis (Street Kids) Uganda

Dear Friends,

How are you holding up this days? If you have anything like us. COVID-19 has thrown you a few curve balls.Current events are overwhelming. We hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and are finding comfort despite all the upheaval.

Ebola Crisis has thrown SHARE NGO for a loop too. As we speak many homeless children are finding life very dificult since no one is ready to socialize with them due to the Ebola Outbreak in the country. The tourist attractions have been affected and this was one other source of friends and hope to get a days meal.

Ebola & Homelessness!

Honestly speaking, if a homeless child or street kid contracted Ebola who would help take that infected child to the hospital. Just this weekend in Mbale City three street kids died after vomiting blood and it was suspicious. But this tells us the danger these children now face at the face of Ebola a few years after COVID-19 disrupted the economy and their living too.

SHARE NGO would like to build A child Care center or a home in Mbale City. Mbale is a very big and  important town in Eastern Uganda. Mbale is known for very good  tourist attractions in the mount elgon region. Recently, Mbale was faced with the problem of the floods which killed many people and displacing over 1000 households and this has been one of the major contributor to homelessness and increased number of children begging and sleeping in the streets.

Majority of them are run aways from the camp's the government had provided but as you know some of the problems associated with floods, a child may have lost all the members of his or her family and the camp may not meet all the needs of the child, including just to have a roof over his head at night, the cold factors in addition to lacking what to eat will generally not stop them from joining the group in the streets.

Most important solution now is for you and me to help save the morals of these children quickly by getting  them  a home constructed to provide them with a formal address where we can be sure we can direct theirr life and provide the basic child Rights to thrive, achieve his or her dreams with your support.

Your past financial support has been invaluable to a few of these children currently sleeping in the classroom at the Hammerslag School Uganda due to lack of accommodation and dormitories.

We are writing to ask for your support as we adapt to the current situation. You have partnered with us in the past to build better classrooms for disadvantaged communities, ajob well done and today we ask you again to join us as we work towards raising money to help us build a better home for the homeless children.

Your support is key to our Organizations continued ability to serve vulnerability groups and disadvantaged communities in Uganda. If you have means, would you be willing to donate to help us reach that goal? With a gift of 5 dollars you can help us buy 100 building blocks. or 3 it's of assorted nails. A bag of cement and one roofing iron sheet is about 15 dollars. One bar of timber would cost 5 dollars. A plot of land in a city would cost us 15,000 dollars including survey fees.

House construction for Homeless!

A complete House construction will amount to 25,000 dollars, electricity and water installed. A perimeter wall to Procter the children and main entrance, gate, security lights needs about 5000 dollars. You can contribute by visiting our donation page.

Thank you for your for choosing to donate with us. In the upcoming time, your gift will make a dream come true for homelessness and bring hope and a smile to a child who had never though of having a place to stay and a family of donors to call his own family. Every donation makes a difference in our community and in the world.Your support can make a powerful difference as we continue to work together towards getting these children a place to stay and call a home where they will be able for their very first time to eat a hot meal unlike in the streets where they have to find what to eat in the dust bins or struggle with a friend, fight or los a life in trying to get what to eat.

People like you are the only reason SHARE NGO has been able to build permanent classrooms for disadvantaged communities in Pallisa, that is why we are sending you letter today.

If you would like to know more about how you gift is being used or if you would like information on how to continue your support. We would love to talk. You can contact us on email or GlobalGiving organization on thier social media accounts. If you can not donate financially there are are ways to help like volunteering and in kind donations.

Kindly keep an eye out for future updates about how you have helped build a better home for the street orphaned children in Uganda.

Thank you for your support to our community, helping get children out of the streets.
