Happy 80th Birthday to San Jose!
San Jose, the home for elderly women, recently celebrated its 80th Anniversary! In 1935 the site was funded by Augustin Elizalde and Hermanas Azules with the purpose of providing care and accommodations for the elderly. Since 2003 the administration of Mensajeros de la Paz has continued this project with the same purpose.
In this welcoming home there are 50 elderly women and the oldest of the group is 103 years old and still enjoying life! The women of San Jose are offered than just the care they need but also respect, a lively community, the participation in crafts or other activities to promote stimulation and active bodies and minds.
A perfect example of the welcoming community and fun activities San Jose provides is the 80th Anniversary party. The night was a wonderful mix of food, dancing and friends. Take a look at the pictures to see what a splendid night it was!
