Juan, our librarian volunteer, who has just graduated, was invited by the Argentinian TV Cannel TN (Todo Noticias) to give an interview about his inspiring life story, which is about persistence and optimism.
As a child Juan was abandoned by his family. He went to an orphanage and then he was adopted by a fasten family, that raised another 27 kids. Juan met his biological family when he was 16 years old, and even after all that he had been through, he forgave his mother.
In the interview Juan told us that overcoming himself is what gives him energy to live. He's always excited to learn new things, he loves Classic Music, carpentry, Electricity and reading, a passion that he discovered working with us (in Mensajeros de la Paz) in the Club de Día and Hogar San José. At the age of 80, Juan has many plans for 2016, which some of them are to learn English and to find someone to spend the rest of his life with him.
