At Hogar San José, the elder adults received a new visit of the students of a school, who for 5 years have come to visit them once a month. In this case, they were 5th grade students, who went to visit them for the first time when they had just entered high school. Now, 5 years have passed, the boys have grown up and this has been their last visit as students.
Many claimed to have intentions to return as volunteers to accompany these people who over 5 years told them their stories of life and shared experiences. On this occasion, the young people brought musical instruments and songs prepared to share with them. Elder adults really liked the idea and joined the activities without hesitation and a beautiful party was put together at the time.
We sing, dance, play games and above all, enjoy a close to these 5 years of intergenerational work. Elder adults were enormously grateful, asking for this to happen again, and even proposed that the next meeting be at school and they should carry out activities.
As a volunteer, I would like to thank to all those who participated in this activity, especially the young people who gave them so much love.
