In recent months, La Balsa has implemented a series of workshops for participants and workers of the project to address, reflect and learn about different social issues and problems.
The objectives of these workshops are not only training and recognition of the issues but can also be therapeutic for those involved. The workshops given this last quarter were about issues related to GBV, such as discrimination, abuse, domestic violence, among others.
These practices are accompanied by resources provided to the participants, such as GBV emergency numbers, public advocates, among others.
We also initiated different training pieces for all the La Balsa professionals to have more tools to address the issues that involve the girls and participants of the programme.
These initiatives contribute to the development of the participants by providing them with more tools and knowledge.
These intervention strategies would be impossible without the support of the networks that accompany us every day.
