Dear Mensajeros’ Friends,
We have come together to transform the lives of hundreds of girls and women at social risk. Thanks to you, we moved to a new place that will help us keep giving shelter to those who need it most. We prepared the latest facilities to welcome more people and provide them with the basic needs necessary to improve their living conditions.
Argentinian economic and social conditions continue to be hostile for many women, teenagers, and girls forced to live on the streets. La Balsa Center works as one of the few temporary shelters in Buenos Aires. That is why this project is so important to help the community.
The new Center has already received more women and children of all ages because of its increased capacities. The move did not stop our work: We kept giving cultural and educational workshops and providing all needed support.
This way, we are working to protect, restore and promote the rights of people at social risk. We are transforming reality together.
