A Warm Meal, A Gentle Smile — and a Renewed Sense of Hope
When our team visited Mr. Nyalulu (name changed for privacy), he had gone two days without food. Living alone, with failing eyesight and no relatives nearby, every day was a struggle.
Thanks to your support, he received a food package, medical supplies, and care from our volunteers. His words moved us deeply: “I thought the world had forgotten me.”
Mr Nyalulu is one of five elders we’ve reached so far — and one of many still waiting.
Our dream is to build 100 safe, permanent homes so no elder in Tororo District has to face old age alone. We’re also building a food bank program and creating partnerships for medical care to ensure ongoing support.
