Our Hospital Classroom is the magical place that the children have to make their stay more pleasant and to continue learning while they recover. During the year 2021 we had great challenges in the face of the pandemic, however this place never ceased to be available for the children and their families, having changes in their care modalities, through individual accompaniment in the rooms until it was possible to return to group meetings but this time with limited capacity.
These pedagogical meetings allowed the children to learn while they were recovering, addressing topics such as self-care, hand washing, self-concept and developing creative thinking through handicrafts. The children were also able to share with some benefactors at Christmas time, who through their solidarity filled them with smiles and gifts.
Some of our patients are from other regions of the country, so activities were also carried out to make them feel closer to home, an example was the cardboard card where they had the opportunity to make letters to send to their families and make them feel more united.
All these moments were possible thanks to the generous donations of our benefactors, with whom we hope to continue counting on in this new year to continue providing smiles during the recovery process of the children in our Children's Hospital.
