Thanks to your generous and consistent support, our Hospital Classroom remains a beacon of hope and joy for children undergoing treatment at our hospital.
For children from across Antioquia and beyond, the Hospital Classroom is a safe space where they can enjoy play, laughter, and the simple joys of childhood, even in the midst of difficult medical journeys.
Each week, the classroom hosts over 20 activities. One of the children's favorites is “Canto Alegre,” a music therapy session where children and caregivers gather to sing and play instruments with a group of artists. The melodies and rhythms bring moments of happiness, comfort, and healing.
For Juan Camilo, a 14 year old with diabetes, the Hospital Classroom has become a refuge. "The Hospital Classroom has been like a ray of light in the midst of darkness for me," he shares. "Last Friday, I got lost in the joy of ‘Canto Alegre’—three people came to sing, dance, and play instruments, and it felt like a concert filled with love. For a moment, I forgot everything and just enjoyed being happy."
These joyful moments not only lift Juan Camilo’s spirits but also bring comfort to his mother, his constant companion through this journey. "Seeing my mom laugh and enjoy the moment with me made me feel like we’re not alone in this process," he says.
The magic of these experiences is possible because of your support. Your donations fund all our recreational activities, bringing light, hope, and joy to our children’s days.
As Valentine’s Day and Halloween approach, we need your help to make these celebrations unforgettable. This month, your donations will go toward sweets, gifts, costumes, and entertainment, ensuring these children have moments of pure joy and excitement.
With Love,
Children´s Hospital Team
