Ukrainian people need help.

During the reporting period, we covered 1871 vulnerable beneficiaries of Odesa region:

• Women with children affected by war 18-47 years old;
• IDP women (including single mothers) aged 26-65+;
• Women with disabilities aged 30-65;
• Men with disabilities;
• Representatives of the LGBTIQ+ community.

Anna is 33 years old. A single mother. Faced with a serious situation of domestic violence. Hanna felt that she depended on her roommate financially and was afraid to leave him, fearing that she would be left without means of livelihood. She often hid the abuse, fearing that no one would believe her or think she was weak. Once, Anna found out about the visit of the mobile brigade, which was conducted by the team of the Multipurpose Assistance project. After much thought, she decided to take part. She talked with the case managers and together they developed an action plan

Hanna also realized that it is impossible to remain silent about violence and that there are special organizations and social workers who are ready to help.

When Anna asked for help, the team of social workers accepted her with understanding and unconditional support. They started working on Anna's case, held meetings with her to listen to her and understand the situation.

At the client's request, social workers went to the address, where they called the police, Hanna wrote a statement, and later the abuser was evicted from her apartment.

Next, the social workers provided Anna with information about the legal aspects of the situation and how to protect her rights and the rights of the child. They helped her get legal help and support.

In addition, the psychologist of the project provided Hanna with psychological support and helped her cope with the trauma she experienced because of the violence.

Thanks to the timely help of the case manager and the team, Hanna was able to free herself from violence and start a new chapter in her life.

• The project is designed to solve humanitarian and social problems that have arisen because of military operations in the vulnerable population of Odesa, by supporting them and using the mechanisms of case management and social support.
• Cooperation and coordination with the heads of village councils of united territorial communities (UTC) is an important aspect of the successful implementation of the project. Cooperation includes interaction with the cluster system and coordinating the departures of mobile teams.
• Coordination with the heads of the UTC village council requires establishing connections and exchanging information. Joint meetings, meetings and regular data sharing help ensure cohesion and a shared approach to problem solving. A cluster system allows you to distribute tasks and responsibilities among different team members and promotes efficient work.
• This collaboration contributes to project success as it allows for increased coverage and maximized resources. Examples of such cooperation are the exchange of experience and knowledge between different communities and regions.
