The HPV & Cervical Cancer Vaccination Program protects girls and young women in Ghana from cervical cancer by providing HPV vaccines and preventive education. Donations help expand vaccine access, reduce future cancer cases, and save lives.
Cervical cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths among women in Ghana, largely due to limited access to HPV vaccination and late diagnosis. Many girls and young women remain unvaccinated because of cost, lack of awareness, and limited outreach services-leaving them vulnerable to a preventable disease.
This project will provide HPV vaccinations to girls and young women in underserved communities while delivering community education on cervical cancer prevention. Funds will support vaccine procurement, cold-chain storage, trained health personnel, and outreach campaigns to ensure safe and effective vaccination delivery.
By preventing HPV infection, this project will significantly reduce cervical cancer cases and deaths in the long term. Vaccinated girls and women will have a lower lifetime risk of cervical cancer, contributing to healthier families and communities and reducing pressure on the healthcare system.
