Pregnancy and motherhood can abruptly interrupt a teenage girl's education, particularly when she is abandoned without family or financial support. Our education and mentorship activities aim to ensure that becoming a young mother does not permanently end her dreams. We connect teenage mothers with opportunities to continue or resume education, vocational learning, literacy support, and practical life-skills development according to their individual circumstances.
Through mentorship sessions, young mothers receive guidance on decision-making, self-confidence, parenting responsibilities, goal setting, communication, personal safety, and planning for their future. Mentors provide a supportive environment where teenage mothers can discuss challenges without fear of judgment. Where possible, we work with families, schools, community leaders, and relevant service providers to support safe pathways back into education or alternative learning opportunities.
The impact extends beyond the individual mother. When a young woman gains knowledge and confidence, she becomes better positioned to make informed decisions for herself and her child. Education can strengthen her ability to access employment, participate in economic activities, understand her rights, and contribute positively to her community.
Donor investment in education is an investment in two generations. Supporting one teenage mother can influence the future wellbeing of her child and reduce the likelihood that poverty and exclusion will continue from one generation to the next. Donations can help provide learning materials, training opportunities, mentorship resources, and educational support.
We believe every young mother deserves the chance to say, “My story did not end when I became a mother.” With sustained support, she can continue learning, develop her potential, and build a future founded on dignity, independence, and hope.
