Every young mother deserves a second chance to pursue her dreams.
Teenage pregnancy can interrupt education and create new financial responsibilities at a stage when a young woman is still developing her own skills and identity. Without support, these challenges can make it difficult for teenage mothers to regain control of their future.
At F SSIBU Mission Foundation, our empowerment initiatives are designed to create opportunities for teenage mothers to learn practical skills, develop confidence, and work toward economic independence.
Through vocational and livelihood training, participants can learn skills including tailoring, hair styling, electrical work, modern farming, and other practical activities. These skills can help them explore opportunities for employment, entrepreneurship, or small-scale income generation.
Education remains central to our approach. We encourage young mothers to continue learning while also helping them develop skills relevant to their current responsibilities.
Mentorship complements vocational training by providing ongoing guidance and encouragement. Young mothers can discuss their goals, parenting responsibilities, relationships, personal development, and challenges while receiving positive guidance.
Sexual and reproductive health education is also integrated into our work to promote informed decision-making and help prevent further unintended pregnancies.
Donor support provides the foundation for these second chances.
Funding can help provide training equipment, materials, mentorship sessions, learning spaces, and opportunities for young mothers to practice and apply their skills.
We want every participant to recognize that her past does not have to determine her future.
A teenage mother can still learn. She can develop a skill. She can start a livelihood. She can support her child. She can become a role model within her community.
Together, we can give teenage mothers a second chance to learn, earn, rebuild their confidence, and thrive.
