Teenage motherhood can dramatically change a young girl's life. Many teenage mothers face interrupted education, limited economic opportunities, stigma, social isolation, and the difficult responsibility of caring for a child while still developing their own future.
At F SSIBU Mission Foundation, we believe becoming a teenage mother should not mean the end of a young woman's dreams. Through our empowerment initiatives, we create opportunities for teenage mothers to rebuild confidence, develop practical skills, and work toward greater independence.
Our programs provide opportunities for skills development in areas such as tailoring, hairdressing and hair styling, electrical skills, modern farming, and other income-generating activities. These practical skills can help young mothers develop pathways toward earning an income and supporting their children.
Mentorship is also an important part of our approach. Regular mentorship sessions provide a supportive environment where teenage mothers can discuss personal development, parenting responsibilities, relationships, education, livelihoods, and future goals.
We also promote knowledge around sexual and reproductive health, helping young mothers make informed decisions and understand ways of preventing unintended pregnancies and protecting their health.
Donor support makes these opportunities possible. A contribution can help provide training materials, equipment, mentorship sessions, learning spaces, and other resources required to help teenage mothers acquire practical skills.
The impact goes beyond one young mother. When a teenage mother gains skills and confidence, her child can also benefit from greater stability and improved opportunities.
We invite donors to invest in these young women—not because of their circumstances, but because of their potential.
Together, we can transform vulnerability into opportunity, restore hope, and help teenage mothers build dignified and sustainable futures for themselves and their children.
