Many vulnerable young people need more than encouragement—they need practical opportunities to discover what they can do and develop skills they can use in everyday life.
At F SSIBU Mission Foundation, we are creating opportunities for children, teenagers, school dropouts, and young mothers to participate in mentorship and practical skills development. These activities can include computer training, tailoring, handbag making, entrepreneurship, modern farming, and other hands-on learning opportunities.
Skills development gives young people something they can carry with them beyond the classroom. It can strengthen confidence, creativity, problem-solving, responsibility, and the ability to explore future livelihood opportunities.
For a teenage mother, learning a practical skill can provide a constructive pathway while caring for her child. For a school dropout, vocational or digital learning can provide a renewed sense of direction. For a child still in school, early exposure to practical skills can help them understand that education and creativity can work together to shape their future.
Donor support helps provide learning materials, equipment, trainers, mentorship, and safe spaces where young people can practice and develop their abilities.
When donors invest in skills, they are investing in potential.
Together, we can help vulnerable young people move from simply surviving difficult circumstances toward developing the knowledge, confidence, and practical abilities they need to participate more fully in their families and communities.
