Isolation can make the challenges of teenage motherhood even harder. A young mother who has been abandoned may have limited access to trusted guidance, education, healthcare information, income opportunities, or people willing to help her plan for the future.
This initiative is working to break that isolation by bringing support closer to vulnerable teenage mothers within the communities we serve. Through outreach, home visits, mentorship, psychosocial support, skills development, and follow-up, F SSIBU Mission Foundation creates opportunities for young mothers to reconnect with people and resources that can help them move forward.
Our programs encourage young mothers to develop practical skills and explore opportunities that can strengthen their independence. Training in areas such as vocational skills, entrepreneurship, computer literacy, tailoring, hairdressing, and modern farming can provide foundations for future livelihood pathways where appropriate.
We also support young mothers in thinking about education, responsible parenting, and the wellbeing of their children. This holistic approach recognizes that restoring hope requires more than one intervention.
Donor funding makes it possible to maintain this connection with young mothers. Contributions support community outreach, training, mentorship, learning materials, follow-up, and assistance for vulnerable mothers and their children.
