Dropping out of school can begin with seemingly small challenges—lack of school requirements, household poverty, limited family income, or uncertainty about the future. For vulnerable girls and boys, these pressures can gradually make education feel out of reach.
F SSIBU Mission Foundation is creating opportunities that help children remain engaged in learning while discovering practical skills. Our goal is to reach girls and boys who are at risk of leaving school and give them additional reasons to continue developing themselves.
Through hands-on training, children can explore sewing, tailoring, meal fabrication, hairdressing, craft weaving, poultry keeping, modern farming, entrepreneurship, and other livelihood-oriented skills. These activities can help children develop creativity, discipline, confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
Our proposed support for 20 girls with sewing machines forms part of this broader effort to make practical learning accessible. With appropriate guidance, a sewing machine can become a learning tool through which a girl develops a valuable skill while remaining connected to education.
Donors can help make this work possible by supporting training equipment, learning materials, instructors, mentorship, and education support.
