Many teenage mothers face continued risks because they may have limited access to accurate sexual and reproductive health information and supportive guidance. Without appropriate knowledge, they can face unintended pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections, HIV-related risks, stigma, and challenges in making informed decisions.
Through Restore Hope for Abandoned Teenage Mothers, F SSIBU Mission Foundation provides age-appropriate sexual and reproductive health education and mentorship. Sessions can address menstrual health, pregnancy prevention, HIV and STI awareness, healthy relationships, consent, personal safety, and responsible decision-making.
The purpose is not simply to provide information but to help young mothers gain the confidence and knowledge needed to make safer choices for themselves and their children.
Parents, caregivers, and community members can also be engaged where appropriate so that young mothers are surrounded by stronger communication and support systems.
Donor funding can help facilitate educational sessions, learning materials, mentorship, community outreach, and referrals to appropriate health services.
Your contribution can help equip a young mother with knowledge that may protect her health, reduce preventable risks, and give her greater control over decisions affecting her future.
