Many abandoned teenage mothers have ideas and abilities but lack the resources, confidence, and business knowledge needed to turn them into sustainable opportunities. Supporting entrepreneurship can help them move beyond repeated dependence on emergency assistance.
Through Restore Hope for Abandoned Teenage Mothers, F SSIBU Mission Foundation seeks to provide entrepreneurship education covering basic business planning, budgeting, pricing, customer care, saving, record keeping, and responsible use of income.
Young mothers can be encouraged to identify realistic opportunities based on their skills and local markets. These may include tailoring, hairdressing, crafts, agriculture, poultry, food-related activities, or other appropriate small businesses.
The impact is measured not only by whether a business starts, but by whether a young mother becomes more confident in managing resources and making decisions about her economic future.
Donor support can help provide business training, mentorship, practical materials, and carefully designed starter support where appropriate.
Your contribution can help a young mother move from asking for survival assistance toward developing the knowledge and confidence to create her own opportunities and provide more consistently for her child.
