In our ongoing efforts to serve vulnerable communities in Yobe State, HOPLE has continued to support children in accessing quality education. Our recent activities have included:
During our outreach, we also identified school-age children with physical disabilities who face barriers to attending school. Many of these children are unable to walk or travel long distances, and their families cannot afford adaptive tricycles (three-wheeled mobility bicycles), which would allow them to attend school.
To address this, we plan to provide these children with disability-inclusive tricycles, enabling them to travel safely to school and participate fully in education. Supporting their enrollment and educational needs is critical—not only for building their personal future, but also for challenging societal misconceptions that children with disabilities cannot attend school.
Every child, regardless of ability, deserves the opportunity to dream, learn, and succeed. With your support, we can help ensure that children with disabilities in Yobe State have equal access to education and the chance to achieve their full potential.
Join us in empowering every child to learn and thrive.
