We use humane education of children to improve the lives of animals in poor/war torn countries: Uganda, Bosnia, & Honduras. In turn, children's lives are enhanced by animals; kinder societies result.
Lasting change for animals only happens when children learn early to treat animals kindly. But in poor countries, children may not learn through their parents or peers about kindness to animals. By supporting humane ed methods proven to work in each country, this project will improve animals' lives, and in turn, animals will provide poor children with loving relationships that will help them lead kinder, fuller lives. With a "multiplier effect" this could reach 10,000 people in the 3 countries.
We provide humane ed materials for children and direct support to help them care for their pets (meds & spay/neuter). Ed material and animal care are provided using a culturally sensitive and proven approach, in local languages.
We improve the lives of animals by encouraging kindness and improved care, with the parallel effect of encouraging kindness and empathy towards people. Children are encouraged to spread the message to friends/family; this could affect 10,000 people.
