Dear Donors,
Over the past months, Mbarara Rise Foundation has remained committed to fighting hunger among LGBTIQ individuals across western Uganda. Through your past support, we distributed emergency food packages to 210 individuals, helping those facing eviction, unemployment, and health challenges linked to stigma and discrimination.
While this support has made a real difference, the situation remains critical. Many LGBTIQ persons still lack consistent access to food, especially those living with HIV who need proper nutrition to maintain their treatment. We are also seeing increased requests for assistance from individuals recently displaced by community violence or rejection from their families.
To respond, our team continues to mobilize and distribute food relief packages including maize flour, beans, and other essentials. However, rising food prices and logistical challenges are straining our capacity. Without renewed financial support, we risk falling short of reaching those who rely on this help for survival.
We are seeking fresh funding to expand our hunger relief program, particularly focusing on transgender women, LGBTIQ youth, and rural-based individuals who are most affected. Your support ensures no one is left to face hunger simply because of who they are.
We thank you for your continued partnership and invite you to help us keep this life-saving effort going.
