Update Helene/Milton Response

By Larry Agee | Co-Founder & Executive Director

Disaster aid USA teams are  on the ground. In Tennessee and North Carolina responding to Hurricane Helene. A ATV side by side was donated to Disaster Aid USA, and in partnership with local fire departments,  has been put to use searching  remote areas, and delivering supplies where needed. Teams from Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, & Texas,  are  rotating into Tennessee and North Carolina to keep continuous work going. Disaster aid USA has a water purification trailer in Tennessee that is now being moved to North Carolina, it produces 20,000 gallons of clean water a day. Many of the communities water infrastructure is contaminated and this valuable piece of equipment is moved where needed most to solve this  problem.

Our work in Florida. Continues. From Hurricane Helene and into Hurricane Milton. Our teams and trailers were in the Impact zone for Milton. They  started work Immediately after the storm passed. Numerous cities through Southwest Florida have large amounts of flooding, and wind damage. Disaster Aid USA working our partnership with local Rotary districts by having trained teams  in the state Ready to go has proved valuable  Chainsaw & Backhoe Teams continue to remove debris daily, Mucking  & Gut teams continue to help survivors clear their house of wet belongings, and gut the insides down to the studs to help in drying the home. Disaster Aid USA is also collecting supplies in several locations. And working with local Rotary districts and Government EOCs to place those supplies in the most needed areas. Supplies for volunteers and supplies for survivors are continuously being shipped into the area of need. Distribution points along with volunteer sign up locations are throughout Southwest Florida. In seven locations.
