In the past few months, we have worked extensively in the specialties of ophthalmology and dentistry on prevention and some specific cases, as well as in the vaccination area.
A very important point, and a challenge for us, is the mental health of the children who enter the foundation, because it is a slow and long process. The children arrive with serious problems, and we must provide therapeutic and social care, including support for their families as well
Unfortunately, at this moment in Colombia, the healthcare situation is very complicated, especially when it comes to accessing these specialties and receiving a quick response. As a result, we sometimes have to make quick decisions and have the resources to act, rather than waiting for the government’s response.
