Thank You For Made This Possible!

By Melissa Balqis | Individual Giving Officer

PAUD St. Yoseph Ndewu was established in 2017 to provide early childhood education for children in the Paga sub-district, Sikka Regency, Flores, East Nusa Tenggara. The school has held its learning activities at the Posyandu (Integrated Healthcare Center) for almost three years.

Then, when the Posyandu was renovated in 2020, the school moved to the semi-permanent building made by parents and the local community. This building has bamboo walls, a zinc roof, and an unpolished cement floor. However, it needs more basic amenities, leaving children sitting on the floor without a table during lessons.

Thankfully, in 2023, with your unwavering support, Happy Hearts Indonesia was able to rebuild PAUD St. Yoseph Ndewu. The new building consists of two safer classrooms with proper furniture, educational toys, an outdoor playground, and a lavatory.

Now, 28 children and 4 teachers can learn comfortably in suitable seating arrangements, contributing to a conducive learning and playing environment. The new building has made everyone get more excited about learning and teaching.

The school community felt motivated and responsible for taking care of the new resources. PAUD St. Yoseph Ndewu has become a better learning place with support from generous people like you.

Thank you for making this possible! It has been a pleasure to have you as our Changemaker, looking forward to the possibilities and opportunities in 2024.
