Strengthening Animal Welfare Awareness: Conducting two awareness-raising campaigns for zoo workers to promote responsible animal care, hygiene, and improved welfare practices.
Promoting a Safer and Cleaner Environment: Distributing educational posters encouraging animal protection, proper sanitation, and the maintenance of a clean and healthy zoo environment.

On behalf of the Support Yemeni Society Organization for Development (SYS), we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your continued compassion and generous support for the IBB ZOO EMERGENCY RESCUE MISSION, Yemen.

Your donations have become a true lifeline for the animals of Ibb Zoo during one of the most difficult periods Yemen has faced. Because of your kindness, SYS has been able to respond to urgent needs and provide critical support to animals facing food shortages, limited medical care, inadequate shelter, and the harsh effects of seasonal weather.

As the summer season continues in Ibb, heavy rains have created additional risks for the animals. Many still lack proper shelters to protect them from rain, cold, and unsafe living conditions. Thanks to your support, the SYS team has been working on the ground to ease their suffering and improve their living environment.

• Launching national and local awareness-raising campaigns to mobilize support for Ibb Zoo and highlight the urgent needs of its animals.

From Rescue to Recovery: Your Impact at Ibb Zoo

On behalf of the Support Yemeni Society Organization, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude for your continued dedication to the IBB ZOO EMERGENCY RESCUE MISSION, Yemen. Your compassion has been a lifeline for these animals during Yemen’s most challenging times.

As we look ahead, we face a critical window of time. The rainy season is approaching, and the current infrastructure at Ibb Zoo is not equipped to handle it. Without proper enclosures and weather-proof shelters, the animals are at risk of severe exposure to the cold and damp, which can lead to illness and extreme distress.

The Difference You Have Made

Because of your generosity, our team has been able to provide immediate, life-saving interventions:

Nutritional Support: We have maintained a consistent supply of food for all residents, including lush grasses for the herbivores and essential grains for the horses.
Medical Care: Our team successfully distributed vital vaccines and provided grooming and stable maintenance to ensure the animals' physical health.
Capacity Building: We conducted specialized training for zoo staff to improve animal handling techniques and daily welfare standards.

The Urgent Challenge Ahead
